We support supported living! |

Good Afternoon Graveney Residents,
Today we had an appointment booked with an Adult Care Home specialising in Mental heath on the Graveney Ward. This meeting was for both the staff and residents to gain crime prevention advice, as well as support where possible.
We have engaged with the residents as to some reports of drug use outside the venue, and worked with the staff as a preventative measure for future reduction in crime. Posters have been provided to the venue which outline some simple rules for the residents, to assist in compliance relating to drug use and the support that can be offered to them for addiction if required. Monthly visits to the location have now been arranged in order for the vulnerable residents to gain a rapport wish us and improve confidence in the police as a whole. As well as liaison with the staff for a forward thinking approach to any issues that may arise. Care/Support workers have a challenging role with limited funding and support. They help people every day, sometimes without the resources that they need. If we can offer any support within our scope, we certainly want to help.
Do you work at a supported accommodation for children or adults? Do you think casual engagement visits with police could assist you and your residents? If yes, please feel free to message us. We would love to support you where we can, and thankyou for your dedication and hard work you put into the Graveney community!
Take care, Jo and Nigel (Your local safer neighbourhood team) | ||
